Please take the time to read through the entirety of our safeguarding and anti cult commitment
At the Green Temple, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all who join our community. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, and we dedicate ourselves to ensuring that every member is treated with kindness, respect, and care.
Our Values of Safety and Autonomy:
- The Green Temple is a space that honours personal freedom, bodily autonomy, and the right to self-expression. We do not tolerate any form of coercion or abuse—whether physical, emotional, psychological, or spiritual.
- Every person who enters our community does so by their own choice and maintains their full autonomy. Consent and mutual respect are at the core of all our relationships and interactions.
- We do not force anyone to adopt our beliefs, behaviours, or practices, and we will not be doing missionary work or evangelising vulnerable groups. Growth, curiosity and exploration are encouraged, but only at each individual's pace and on their own terms.
Anti-Cult Policy:
- The Green Temple stands firmly against all forms of cult behaviour. We reject the exploitation of power, undue influence, and any form of authoritarian control over others' thoughts, actions, or lives. Our faith and practice are built on open dialogue, mutual respect, and personal choice.
- We do not isolate our members from outside friends, family, or information. On the contrary, we encourage strong, healthy relationships and the free exchange and dissection of ideas.
- Transparency and accountability are essential. Our teachings are always open to respectful good faith discussion and dialogue.
- We will be using language and terms that are common and easy to understand by the general native english speaking population. Anyone is free to ask for the definition of any unique and specific terms we might use within the community, we will gladly and openly explain
Commitment to Safeguarding:
- We prioritise the well-being and safety of all, especially vulnerable individuals such as children, the elderly, those with disabilities, and those who may face any form of marginalisation. Clear reporting processes are in place for any concerns about misconduct or harm, and we will respond with the utmost seriousness and urgency.
- Education on safeguarding, consent, and healthy community dynamics is a part of our ongoing work. We will always seek to uphold and facilitate both people's physical and psychological safety in our community.
The Green Temple is a community of love, trust, and growth—where the sacredness of each person is honoured, and where manipulation or harm has no place. We invite all who share these values to join us in fostering a peaceful, caring, and inclusive space for all.
